Highlight and Share 2.3.5 has been released, with an emphasis over over-hauling the email icon action. It used to pop up in a pop-up and wasn’t compatible with some themes. I took (stole) some goodies from Jetpack and now emails can be sent inline.
You can see in the screenshot below it pretty much mirrors Jetpack’s email functionality:
