User Profile Picture Enhanced Has Been Discontinued

User Profile Picture Enhanced

It is with great regret that we announce that User Profile Picture Enhanced has been discontinued. The source code for the plugin has always been public, so you can technically still download and install it, but support and purchases have been disabled for the add-on.

User Profile Picture Enhanced was originally birthed to allow for custom author boxes, social networks, job titles, and individual user profile pages. You can view a demo of the features with this presentation.

The decision was tough to discontinue User Profile Picture Enhanced. Weeks and weeks were spent coding it and integrating it with the popular WordPress.org plugin User Profile Picture. However, sales didn’t follow, even with an advert in the free plugin. After months of marketing the plugin, I’m afraid there weren’t any sales, even when we offered free licenses with discounts and/or coupon codes.

We could’ve made the plugin free, but based on previous attempts, there simply was no interest in extending User Profile Picture.

In hindsight, perhaps I made the new add-on complicated or didn’t offer enough features that users wanted. Feedback was non-existent, which discouraged us.

For those who do happen to have User Profile Picture Enhanced, support will be discontinued and software updates will no longer occur. We’re sorry for any inconvenience. Some ideas fly. Some ideas die. In this case, it was the latter.
