Event Tracking for Gravity Forms 2.2.2 has been released and adds gtag support.

What is gtag?

Now you may be wondering what gtag is. According to the official gtag documentation, gtag is:

The global site tag (gtag.js) is a JavaScript tagging framework and API that allows you to send event data to Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Marketing Platform.

To implement gtag on your site, I suggest following this guide on gtag implementation.

An implementation looks like this:

<!-- Global site tag (gtag.js) - Google Analytics -->
<script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=GA-TRACKING_ID"></script>
  window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
  function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
  gtag('js', new Date());

  gtag('config', 'GA-TRACKING_ID');

You’d replace GA-TRACKING_ID with your own UA ID.
